There’s no doubt that learning Japanese will enrich your life. However, mastering a language is a long journey. To stay on the right track, you need a tutor who is fully engaged and passionate about teaching. 🌱 About Me
Let me introduce myself so we can build a good connection. I was born and raised in Yamaguchi Prefecture. In addition to teaching Japanese, I have a deep passion for music. As a rock singer-songwriter, I create songs that inspire people to stay focused on what truly matters, without getting distracted by internal or external noise.
I also practice daily meditation, which helps me stay centered and focused on my passions. Since 2022, I’ve been following a plant-based diet. In my spare time, I enjoy birdwatching, immersing myself in nature, and reading novels and motivational books.

🗣️ Conversation Practice (For All Levels)
The ultimate goal for every learner is to speak Japanese fluently. That’s why I encourage you to speak as much as possible during our sessions. I will ask you questions on various topics, such as your weekend, daily life, or mutual interests. This will also serve as excellent listening practice.
📚 Homework Review (For All Levels)
Upon request, I can assign you homework, such as vocabulary or grammar exercises, or writing practice. We will review it together during class to reinforce what you’ve learned in previous lessons.
📰 Reading Articles (For Upper-Beginner Level and Above)
We will read an article together and discuss its topic. This activity improves reading comprehension and pronunciation while helping you gain knowledge about Japanese culture and current events.
🔤 Basic Grammar and Vocabulary (For Beginner Level)
If you’re just starting out and need guidance, this course is for you! Using a textbook, we will learn basic grammar so you can become a self-sufficient learner.
📝 JLPT Preparation (For All Levels)
I offer JLPT preparation courses using textbooks to cover essential grammar and workbooks to test vocabulary and grammar knowledge. As the exam approaches, we can have intensive sessions to help you make a final push.
✔️ My Policy on Error Correction During Conversation Practice
I prioritize the natural flow of our conversation rather than interrupting your speech to correct errors. However, if a mistake could lead to confusion or embarrassment in real-life situations, I will gently correct it. So, relax and enjoy speaking Japanese!

I started learning Japanese with Masahiro-sensei about three months ago, and it has been nothing but pleasant. He is very hardworking and always well-prepared for the lessons. We spend a great deal on conversation practice, and finding compelling topics to talk about is a breeze. My spoken and written Japanese has improved greatly thanks to him, I feel much more capable and confident now. Masahiro sensei is a very organized teacher. He makes a course plan for you according to your Japanese level. Before each lesson he tells you what the lesson is about on that day, so you will have it in mind; and after each lesson he writes a summary of the day's lesson. He is also very patient, and we sometimes exchange different cultures together. I learned a lot from him. Really recommend him if you want to start or bring your Japanese to the next level.

Masahiro-sensei is a very dedicated and pleasant teacher. I have started learning with him about four months ago and I can already see great progress since then. I have been studying with Masahiro for over one year now. Not only has my Japanese improved but he has given me many insights to what is happening in today’s Japanese society. I particularly appreciate that even when I say something that is grammatically correct, he will often show me a more natural speech pattern that a Japanese native speaker would use. I think that Masahiro is both very professional and fun to talk with.
