About me
I am a Berklee College of Music graduate. I graduated with a scholarship, honors and awards. I have more than 10 years of experience in teaching vocals, guitar, songwriting, lyric writing, music therapy, sight singing, ear training, music history, music production and I have worked in many prestigious colleges, conservatories and universities such as Berklee College of Music. I have received awards and distinctions from prestigious international songwriting competitions such as: ISC (International Songwriting Competition), John Lennon Songwriting Contest and Song of The Year Songwriting Competition. I also teach Logic Pro X and Pro Tools. I speak fluently English, Greek and French and I can teach them as well. I provide a very friendly environment and the success of my students is my main goal.
I am a perfectionist and I want my students to succeed in their artistic endeavors. I have a Contemporary Writing and Production and Performance Bachelor's degree from Berklee College of Music. I also have a Guitar and Music Harmony degree. Together we can set specific goals for each of our classes so as to stay motivated and succeed in your goals.
As a personality, I always try to guide my students in a very effective way so as to motivate them and help them reach their full potential! Every student is unique and I try to deeply understand their needs and to create a connection with them. I always put my students first!
I also have a degree in Ancient Greek Theater and Drama.

Disappointing Experience Unfortunately, my experience with John was disappointing. Despite his constant promises that scheduling more classes would lead to better results and support, he consistently failed to deliver. I invested both time and money, trusting his assurances, but it was all in vain. His misleading promises were s a complete letdown. I would advise others to be cautious and look for a more reliable instructor who cares about their students' progress. Unfortunately, after I left my feedback, John responded by falsely accusing me of cheating, publicly labeling me a "cheating client" without any evidence, despite my full participation in all the classes. He also sent a message threatening to report me to my university if I did not delete my review, which speaks volumes. I strongly advise anyone considering this tutor to be cautious. John has now falsely claimed that our sessions were "recorded as requested" and that he can provide them as evidence. I never requested any recording of our sessions by any means, and this is just another false statement he is making.Theresa

John has exceeded all expectations as a music teacher. I play the harp and am learning a few classic pieces and need help with the rhythm. His knowledge of music theory has helped me tremendously and knows exactly how to apply it to what I am practicing. He is so well prepared and sets particular goals in advance for the areas we are working on and makes sure those goals are achieved by the end of the lesson. He recommends the specific area I need to work on between lessons and the perfect instruction in how to practice. Because of his perfectionist ideals and encouragement, I am to make steady progress. John’s impeccable training at the prestigious Berklee College of Music shines through each lesson. John is a master at his art and one of the best tutors on Preply. I highly recommend!Natasha

My daughter had another guitar teacher on here and decided to stop for a while as things got frustrating and there was no connection. However, John is an amazing guitar teacher!! My daughter picked back up the guitar ever since the first session and she now has two sessions with him every week. He takes things one at a time and encourages her every step of the way. John is highly recommended for those who want to play guitar for fun, professions, or music therapy. I know my daughter greatly enjoys classes with him and is always looking forward to the next coming session!

So far, I’ve had 2 lessons with John and have fully enjoyed his class, so I signed up for more! We start our class immediately, in which he guides through breathing and voice exercises and goes right into the lesson, encouraging openness and great expression. Very good critique and gets right into the practical process. If you’re looking for a singing coach, I highly recommend John!Fanfan

My son had several singing lessons with John already and enjoyed it, his reviews are as follows: John is a very friendly teacher, his lessons are exciting and motivating, he also has a great sense of humor. I wasn’t too sure if I liked singing or not before, but his lessons made me find interesting in singing.Peter

John keeps things fun and interesting, but challenging at the same time. He has very keen ear and eye that helped me notice things like the tone with which I ended sentence or how at times I was a bit too tense with my jaw.
