I love traveling and I recently fulfilled my biggest childhood dream: I crossed the world while teaching Portuguese! 🌏

I couldn't ask for a better tutor than Gabriela. I started working with her to help take my Portuguese to the next level for work and also for general improvement in preparation for going to Brasil. She brings high energy, positivity, and amazing teaching experience to every lesson and completely tailors everything. Gabi prepares engaging and fun exercises to improve my vocabulary, grammar, and conversation while always providing me with great resources to sustain what I have learned in between lessons. She also helps me with my work presentations and is willing to do whatever is needed to help. I recommend Gabi to anyone who wants an amazing instructor for all levels. She is the best!

Gabriela is an excellent teacher. She has a great personality and is very funny and patient. However, I recommend her mostly because the teaching is of the highest quality that I have encountered on Preply. Gabriela has written all the lesson merials herself to a professional standard. This provides a unique and fun curriculum based on colloquial Portuguese and Brazilian culture. This must have taken a huge amount of time and effort to manufacture an entire new method of learning Portuguese. As a result, the classes are distinct and really interesting. I have made huge progress under Gabriela's tutelage. I would encourage anyone who actually really wants to learn Portuguese to choose Gabriela. She is special amongst the huge amount of options on Preply. Gabriela also has perfect English, which always helps when learning a new language.

Gabi is the best!! I’ve been working with her for a little more than a year now and I cannot be more satisfied with the results we’ve achieved. I can surely say that she is the best tutor I have worked with so far. She is extremely patient, friendly and the amount of exercises and materials she has prepared is truly impressive. If you are looking for a highly-committed and caring tutor who has an incredible depth of knowledge of the Portuguese language, she is definitely the right person. A really good learning experience with a great teacher can change your view of yourself as a learner and help you see the world of possibilities available to you. Studying Portuguese with Gabi is easily the most positive learning experience of my life, and I don't say that lightly. I've had some really good learning experiences, but Gabi excels at teaching -- she is head and shoulders above even really good teachers. I have always enjoyed learning, but given I have ADHD and am on the spectrum, I don't always enjoy "classroom" experiences. Gabi has done more than just support my unique emotional and motivational needs as a learner: she has celebrated them. Homework assignments have been tailored to my interests -- and Gabi has great taste in music, poetry and literature. This has left me feeling capable, motivated, and excited. And just as important as anything else, she doesn't give me shit when I can't find the time and energy for homework. We just pick things up and jump back in. As someone with experience teaching and designing curriculums, let me say this: Gabi knows what she's doing. It's unlikely you'll find a better teacher out there.

I've been working with Gabriela on my Portuguese for the last few months and she's been a wonderful professor. I already have significant proficiency in Portuguese and she's worked with me to design a curriculum that is level appropriate so that I can maximize our time together. Her lesson plans are thoughtful and well planned, and she's been very flexible to accommodate my busy schedule and work around issues due to the time difference (I am in the United States). Gabi is a complete pro. She's super easy to work with and very patient. Her curriculum is very well thought out, organized and intuitive (even for a beginner). She has been helping me prepare for a trip to Brazil to visit my wife's family and with just a few lessons I already feel more confident that I'll be able to understand and communicate (very basically, at least) with people and rely less on google translate or my wife to act as a full-time translator. Highly recommended!
