Hi, I'm Beverly and I'm a physicist.

For someone who has struggled with math and science in the past, finding a tutor has always been difficult. Many people are not kind and patient when explaining material. Beverly is truly unique in her tutoring ability because she is able to not only make concepts understandable by breaking them down, but she understands their macro-level function and can draw on that knowledge in explanations- AND she is kind, generous, and patient. Beverly is by far, the BEST tutor I have ever had in my life, and I'm a mature student who has a Masters degree and has spent lots of time in academic arenas. I feel so grateful to have met Beverly at this time in my life when completing this Physics requirement was so necessary for me to advance my career goals. Beverly is one-of-a-kind and will absolutely help you understand and even appreciate (or love) Physics. I came to look forward to our tutoring appointments so much because Beverly brings so much calm genuine energy to working through challenging problems together. I was very lucky to find Beverly. She was always a great tutor, even when I was a poor student. She took me, an adult learner, from College Algebra, to Trig, to Calc 1. She's very intelligent, patient, and effective in teaching. Her skill is always going to be more valuable than what she charges. Needless to say, I can't recommend her highly enough.

Highly Recommend After many inside and outside of school tutoring sessions, I still didn't understand my AP Physics 1 class. After just one time, working with Ms. G helped immensely! She made sure I understood the concepts rather than merely memorized them, and she was able to explain the material multiple ways so I could understand.

Beverly is a wonderful teacher. She not only explains the concepts well, but also tries to understand the student’s thought process, hence getting to know and addressing the weaknesses or misconceptions that a student might have. I am really grateful for Beverly’s time and help!

Beverly knows her stuff! She doesn't just lecture, she asks questions to ascertain whether the material being presented is understood. She is respectful, prompt and well informed regarding physics and calculus. She is definitely worth taking lessons with!
