About me

Hi there! I am Joanna and I have a Bachelor's degree in Scandinavian Studies from the University of Gdansk. I lived and worked in Norway until 2020. I started working as a language tutor in 2012 and since then I have been teaching both in groups and individually.

I have 8 years of teaching experience, mostly online. I create and provide my own learning materials. I believe that creating a situation that resembles the natural setting is the most effective method of learning. I personalise my classes to match students' interests and strengths to make the learning process as enjoyable and productive as possible. My lessons are neurodivergent-friendly.

I wholeheartedly recommend classes with Joanna. I am very satisfied with the lessons; each class is different, and we don't just go through the textbook dryly. It happens that in one meeting we open three books, working on pronunciation, writing, and new material. We try to catch up on my gaps and correct mistakes. If mistakes occur during the lessons, I receive tips on how to fix them and what to practice at home. I haven't been this satisfied with a teacher in a long time. I highly recommend it :)

I strongly recommend her as she; - hears what a learner needs and gives a proper instruction - adopts learning methods as a learner’s needs / difficulties - gives proper study materials and assignments Thanks to her, I could improve my Norwegian skills in short time and prepare for norskprøven.

Asia is a wonderful teacher, she helped me a lot to start speaking Norwegian! Together we set goals and planned lessons to tailor them to my needs :) Each lesson is an extreme dose of knowledge and positive energy :) I wholeheartedly recommend her :)
