About me

Hello everybody!

My name is Manuela G. I'm from Bogotá Colombia, I have a certification in teaching Spanish to foreigners, I studied software programming, environmental sanitation and some semesters of biology.

I like several things like dancing, music, science, sports, history and I also like to discover many cultures.

I consider myself a cheerful, patient and smiling person most of the time.

I have been teaching Spanish online since 2020. I also have been a biology tutor for students who want to take the admission test for a public university in my country.

I will always try to make you feel comfortable in your classes, even if you are shy talking. I am very patient but I like to challenge my students so they can improve themselves.

My first priority is to achieve your Spanish goals to stay motivated by learning this beautiful language.

The first class will be the key to define in what level of Spanish you are and what are your objectives for learning Spanish to prepare the tutorials day by day. I focus a lot on exercises that allow you to constantly participate in writing or speaking. At the end of each class, we will review what we learned and we will practice the new vocabulary to make it easier to use it in an everyday situation.

I love learning with Manuela — my lessons with her are always fun, informative, and customized to fit my level and specific challenges. She uses digital tools to keep lessons engaging and dynamic, including using web-based language learning games and programs, and sharing her own content on slides. My two lessons per week with her are my only active time spent learning Spanish, but it has been extremely helpful having her consistency and live conversational feedback to improve my listening, speaking and overall understanding of the language. I plan to continue learning from Manuela as long as possible - there's no end to what I can learn from her!

Manuella is someone who takes care of her presentations and with whom I enjoy taking lessons. She is very pedagogical and knows how to spark her students' interest. I have learned and continue to learn a lot of interesting things thanks to her, whether it's in vocabulary, grammar, conjugation, or even culture in Colombia, a beautiful country whose wonders I was unaware of. Practicing my spoken Spanish with Manuella is truly my favorite exercise. The Spanish language is very expressive, and Manuella wonderfully conveys its emotions in her speech. I have made a lot of progress thanks to her classes, and this has happened quite quickly. I highly recommend her!

I have been taking Spanish lessons with Manuela for roughly 1 year thus far. Overall, my experience learning from Manuela has been very enriching. I now feel more confident speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Spanish. Manuela always comes prepared to class with great teaching materials to help me better understand some of the complex nuances within the Spanish language. I have taken many years of Spanish classes in high school and in university. However, it wasn’t until I joined Manuela’s class that I saw my Spanish skills truly accelerate toward an advanced level. I highly recommend Manuela for her professionalism, teaching ability, patience, strong foundation in the Spanish language, and overall enthusiasm to help her students succeed. Manuela has been a wonderful teacher. I have always been shy with speaking spanish, but she has a way with helping me feel more comfortable despite my limitations. The lessons are fun and enjoyable. I have appreciated that her lessons are appropriate for my level, but also relate to my profession/ every day life. I look forward to our lessons and feel motivated to learn more and practice outside of our lessons. I feel more confident than I ever have in progressing with my language skills. I am so grateful for Manu and highly recommend her.

Manuela is a great teacher, every class is well prepared with different themes every time. During the classes different learning aids are used, like short videos, pictures, and so on. I also really appreciate the mix between casual talking, more specific conversations up to short blocks of theory. For me, this is the best way to progress in spanish. Manuela has a great personality and it's always a pleasure to be in her class. I will most definitely continue learning with her and I can only recommend her lessons.

Manuela is absolutely a spectacular Spanish professor. With only one month of Spanish lessons, my fluency in Spanish has improved substantially. Manuela has a gift for tailoring each lesson to meet the students goals. She also provides advice for everyday application of conjugated expressions. Learning from Manuela has been an enriching and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to learn Spanish! Gracias Manuela.

Spanish for beginners

Todos pueden aprender el español. Comenzamos con los sonidos básicos del español, lectura básica y repetición de frases cotidianas hasta que sea más sencillo poder crear las primeras frases útiles en Español.
