About me

Hello, my name is Yara and I'm an English and Portuguese teacher. I've been a teacher for more than 20 years, and I've taught kids, teenagers and adults. During all those years I've tried all kinds of methodologies available, and have extracted from them what I feel is more helpful to students. Currently I use a lot the gamification approach, because it makes it easier to learn and motivates the students.

Yara is a great teacher! She is very kind and patient, and I've really enjoyed using games to help me learn new material. I've also really enjoyed learning more about Brazilian culture with her. Yara's English is perfect so this makes it easier. I've had a lot of fun learning Portuguese with Yara and would recommend her!

Yara is very patient and nice teacher. She really helps me improve my portuguese and reach my goal step by step. I have a good time by learning portuguese with her. Lessons are fun and professional at the same time.
