I had a goal to start speaking before my business trip. I achieved this in 20 lessons! John has a very good online toolkit for grammar. Listening comprehension was quite comfortable for me, and the classes were held in a comfortable and trusting atmosphere. John has a rich life experience and there is plenty to talk about. This was my first experience of lessons with a native-speaking tutor. John does not speak Russian, and this is very good, as it creates excellent immersion during the lessons. John is an excellent teacher (specifically a teacher, not just a conversation partner) - I recommend him!

John is my magician! i admire him as a person very much, and also i really appreciate that he can so easily share with his student his life experience, wise thoughts, personal advices regarding educational purposes and life on the whole) very interesting and outstanding person, who can explain hard things in easy way - and everything becomes so logical and simple in your mind! I find it really necessary to dwell upon the methods represented by John. He brought his personal attitude towards my purposes and goals that I had to achieve in learning English. My final aim was such a complicated exam as IELTS. John showed himself as an experienced, intelligent and concerned tutor. He responded to my request as quickly as possible, shared pieces of advice with me, demonstrated true interest in my progress, constructed our lessons step by step, raised our homework up to a vital contribution among other obligatory components of my English improval. In spite of my lack of time my success was up to standard thanks to John. Obviously, his task was to help me out. My previous result turned out not to exceed 6.0. Within only 6 lessons with him we made what now seems next to impossible: I reached my 7.0 easily and efficient. John's lessons are tremendously productive, fruitful and absolutely useful if you intend to get the highest results running out of time. I am really grateful to him and have to admit how lucky I am to choose such a gifted teacher among others.

I have started my classes with John not long time ago and already can say that he is a very good teacher with excellent tutor's skills. John always leastens to my requirements regarding skills I need to develop, provides material I need, follows my speach and corrects mistakes. John pays a lot attention to pronunciation. In the same time John is very polite and has got perfect sense of humor. All these makes lessons productive and interesting. I'm glad that I found this teacher and will continue my classes with John.

John assisted me with my preparation for the TOEFL exam, he always did an excellent job. The hours I spent with him learning were interesting, effective and very useful. John is an experienced man who has a substantial business background in the insurance market. His language is clear and reach, he has a good sense of humor, he is very friendly and you will feel comfortable to talk to him. I would recommend this tutor for people who are seeking development of their skills in business environment, especially for those who are involved in insurance market and dispute settlement (including lawyers, loss adjusters, brokers etc.).

I am registered to provide appropriate coaching for non-native lawyers and students for the TOLES (Test of Legal English Skills) exam.I coach senior business management with reasonable English ability to develop their skills and feel confident in an English business environment.

IELTS

I have been certified to prepare students for the IELTS exam for over 13 years. I specialise in the Speaking and Writing sections.

British English

I only coach using British English and specialise in correct pronunciation and diction.

Cambridge ESOL: FCE, CAE, CPE...

I work with international students studying for IELTS, Cambridge C1 Advanced, and Cambridge C2 Proficiency. I concentrate mainly on each exam's Writing and Speaking elements, paying particular attention to the Grade Descriptors applied when marking the exam papers.

I have tutored students in exam preparation for the TOLES, IELTS and Cambridge ESL exams for over 13 years.

Writing

In my previous career, I wrote many reports. These needed to be in perfect English, with correct Grammar, Spelling, and punctuation. I have been a content copywriter and proofreader, and I am very insistent that students, at whatever level, learn to write correctly.Nowadays, I work with B2, C1 and C2 students in preparation for the respective writing exams.

I have been tutoring students to obtain this Certificate - now termed C1 Advanced - with considerable success.
